The Leyte Electric Cooperative (LEYECO II) members completed the MMLDC’s Advance Lineman Training Course last February 2010. This training program was specifically designed to standardize and enhance the Knowledge, Skills and Attitude of the Lineman.
True to its advocacy of Technical Excellence, MMLDC’s Academic Services Department under the supervision of Nino Suarez, Associate Director for Technical Development provided five (5) weeks of training among 32 members of the LEYECO II line crew. They were trained with basic line works standards and procedures including safety standards.
Due to the success of Advance Lineman Training Course initial run, a partnership between MMLDC and Leyte Electric Cooperative was formed and opened new doors for future trainings.
In view of this, MMLDC’s Technical Development is planning to expand its partnership with other electric cooperatives in the country to be able to share its expertise and be part of its growth and development.
