Programs Offered- The Social Sector Beneficiaries
As an education foundation, MMLDC builds capabilities and enhances leadership and values of school heads and teachers. The foundation has devoted its mission for the social sector but the education sector is currently its prime beneficiary. Learning solutions through various training programs and other program interventions are developed and implemented for its beneficiaries from the DepEd Divisions of Antipolo City, Cavite Province, Cavite City, Caloocan City and Albay. Likewise, other educational institutions and organizations from both public and private sectors have also benefited by availing of MMLDC’s programs and facilities. Leadership and Management Programs School-based Management Development Program (SBMDP) - comprises of three modules that are designed to develop among school heads and principals the competencies that will inculcate in them the desire to continuously improve their respective schools and enable them to effectively prepare, implement and evaluate School Improvement Plans.
The MMLDC SBMDP has three basic modules:
¤ Creating Breakthroughs! – a personal call-to-action workshop based on the Good-to-Great framework with emphasis on the principles of discipline
¤ Workshop on School Improvement Plan (SIP) – a workshop focusing on the school mission and vision as well as the preparation of the school improvement plan
¤ Carrying-out Followthroughs! – an activity-based follow-up course that will enable participants to effectively execute their strategic plans
Other Managment programs include Values Dynamics in the Education Environment and Resource Mobilization. Technical Excellence for Teachers ¤Workshop on Sense of Wonder for Science and Nature ¤Out-of-the-Box Teaching Methodologies ¤Power and Beauty of Mathematics ¤Investigative Research for Science Teachers
Environmental, Safety and Health Programs
Lakbay Kalikasan – an environmental field trip for pupils designed to stimulate interest and care for the environment among the youth Industrial Safety (Levels 1 & 2) - aimed at equipping employees such as the line personnel, with the required knowledge on the basic principles of safety and accident prevention as well as the practical tools to detect potential hazards. It also intended to provide the skills to formulate and recommend prevention and reduction of accidents Solid Waste Management Orientation: In response to the need to protect and preserve the environment, MMLDC Foundation Inc. also offered solid Waste Management orientations to various institutions and organizations. It had successfully piloted a School-based Solid Waste Management program in Mayamot Elementary School, Antipolo City. Youth Leadership Camp: a yearly activity for students who undergo training for the enhancement of their leadership and communication skills. In the 2007, students from the private and public education sector benefitted from this program. The officers of the Junior Philippine Society for Training and Development (JPSTD) and Junior Marketing Association of the Philippines (JMAP) were given leadership training based on the Good-to-Great framework. Likewise, selected officers of the student councils of 7 campuses of the University of Rizal System (URS) were also given a similar program. |
