MMLDC PartnersDep Ed’s missions are to provide quality basic education that is equitably accessible to all and to lay the foundation of life-long learning and service for the common good. MMLDC works with Dep Ed by providing training and technical assistance to the public schools, particularly the school heads. MMLDC also coordinates closely with Dep Ed in designing and implementing its programs to ensure alignment with its over-all directions. NEA is a government-owned and controlled corporation working with electric cooperatives by providing quality financial, institutional and technical services, and promoting competence enhancement in a deregulated environment. Together, MMLDC and NEA identified the training needs of the electric cooperatives and provided relevant training courses. MMLDC has forged partnerships with both private companies and public institutions in implementing programs for the beneficiaries. A couple of partners were identified in the conduct of MMLDC’s environmental field trip for students called Lakbay Kalikasan. Liwayway Marketing, makers of OISHI snacks, provides free puppet show, games and snacks for the children. Adarna Publishing gives significant discounts on books included in the Lakbay kit as well as free training for MMLDC personnel on storytelling. The Antipolo City local government offers the City Bus as transportation for the students to and from their schools. MMLDC is an official member of the League of Corporate Foundation (LCF). It is also actively participating in activities and endeavors of the Lopez Group Foundation Inc. In 2005, MMLDC was re-accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC). This meant that as a foundation, MMLDC met the standards of PCNC and will continue to benefit from its affiliation with PCNC. In December 2005, MMLDC received an award from the Department of Education in recognition of the particpation in their Adopt-a-School program. More than just “adopting” a school, MMLDC has adopted the whole Division of Antipolo. Other recognitions were also given by selected Local Government Units (LGU) such as the DSWD Bahay Kalinga Certificate of Appreciation and appreciation from the Association of Barangay Treasurers of Lasam, Cagayan.
